Cupping therapy.

Suction-based negative pressure that lifts and separates restricted tissue — the opposite of pressing in, and a powerful complement to deep tissue work.

Add-on or standaloneMulti-layer tensionAthlete favorite

Where most bodywork presses down, cupping pulls up. Applying gentle negative pressure, the cups lift and decompress the tissue, drawing fresh blood to the area and separating layers that have stuck together. It reaches tension from a completely different angle.

Why pair it with deep tissue

Cupping and deep tissue are a natural combination: deep tissue works pressure in, cupping decompresses and mobilizes what's left. For multi-layer, stubborn tightness, the two together often accomplish what either alone can't. Marc frequently layers cupping into a deep tissue session.

Common questions

Do the marks hurt or bruise?

No. The circular marks are decompressed circulation, not bruising, and they're painless. They typically fade within a few days to a week.

Can I get cupping on its own?

Yes, though many clients get the most out of it combined with deep tissue in the same session.

Is cupping safe for athletes in-season?

Generally yes, and many athletes love it for recovery. Time heavier sessions away from competition and tell Marc your schedule.
